How It Works

Understand the core technology around a token transaction without needing to read source code or become a blockchain engineer.

The basic flow

When someone interacts with a token, several pieces work together: the wallet prepares an instruction, the user approves it, the transaction is sent to the appropriate blockchain network, and the network records the result.

Choose the correct network

Your wallet needs to be connected to the network the official token uses.

Identify the correct token

Use project-published contract information rather than relying only on the token name or logo.

Review the transaction

The wallet shows the action it is about to authorize. Read the details before signing.

Blockchain confirmation

After submission, the network processes the transaction and makes a record that can generally be viewed through a blockchain explorer.

Why explorers matter

A blockchain explorer is like a search engine for public blockchain data. It can show addresses, transactions, token contracts and other on-chain information. It is useful for verifying what actually happened instead of relying only on what a website displays.

Important: blockchain transactions can be difficult or impossible to reverse. Treat the approval screen in your wallet as an important verification step, not a routine pop-up.
